MACROC Economic Profile

The MACROC Economic Profile is an information tool that provides economic statistics on the Macarthur region which can be drilled down to view information on the region’s LGAs of Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly.

The information is derived from the Australian Bureau of Statistics as well as Australia’s leading economic modellers NIEIR.

The economic data includes statistics based on economic indicators such as population, gross product, local jobs, employed residents, building and retail and economic profile indicators such as size, structure, workforce profiles and resident labour force. The information contained in the tool helps to provide an understanding of the economic and demographic processes at work in the Macarthur region and provides a framework for understanding what role the industries and workforce play in the region.

A sustainable economy is based on the interplay between the industries and workforce located in the area, the economic role of the wider region and the demographic role of the community.
