MEDIA RELEASE – MACROC President Encourages Macarthur Businesses to Have Their Say!

The Macarthur Regional Organisation of Councils (MACROC), in conjunction with its member Councils, Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly, has commissioned respected market research company Iris Research to conduct a survey of business in Macarthur.

The survey is being undertaken to complement the economic development activities of each Council in a bid to better monitor and understand business conditions and issues.

IRIS Research will be responsible for collating all the survey responses and preparing a report for the MACROC Councils.

The survey will focus on a range of questions relating to confidence measures such as sales, profitability, capital expenditure, staff levels and overtime. The survey includes specific questions relating to local industry markets, suppliers, workforce, and growth impediments.

MACROC President, Cr Judith Hannan encourages Macarthur businesses to have their say!

“The growth of our Macarthur region presents both opportunities and challenges for business in the region”, said Cr Hannan.

“My fellow Macarthur mayors Crs George Brticevic, Lara Symkowiak and I understand the importance of strengthening our region and believe the results of the survey will assist MACROC and its member Councils to understand how they can better support existing businesses and attract new businesses and jobs to the region”.

IRIS research will be contacting a range of businesses in each Macarthur local government area online and by telephone. Those businesses that have not been contacted by IRIS Research and who would like to take part in the survey are encouraged to click on the following link: visit any of the following websites and complete the survey online.
