Increasing employment and training opportunities will be the two principal aims of the 2010 Macarthur Jobs and Training Expo to be held at Wests Leagues in Leumeah on 30 June 2010 between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

The Australian Government through its Keep Australia Working initiative is backing the Expo and a number of organisations have also thrown their support for this important project. The initiative is designed to achieve positive outcomes for job seekers in the Macarthur region.

“There are encouraging signs of a strong economic recovery but MACROC will continue to promote employment and training opportunities for our community to reduce unemployment in our community” Cr Chanthivong said.

“I would encourage all employers and training organisations in our community to come and join MACROC at the Jobs Expo. Increasing employment and the level of skills and training is good for employers in getting increased productivity, good for employees to use their skills efficiently and good for our community in creating economic prosperity. This is a win-win for all of us.” Cr Chanthivong said.
