Business and civic leaders from across the Macarthur region will soon gather for a special gala event to celebrate the achievements of three local entrepreneurs.

Established in 2006 by the Macarthur Regional Organisation of Councils (MACROC), the Macarthur Business Hall of Fame will this year welcome three new members of the business community who have made an outstanding contribution to the region.

MACROC President, Cr Anoulack Chanthivong, said that the coming gala event was the fourth to be hosted by MACROC to highlight the inspirational stories of our business leaders.

“This year, three more business leaders will join a select group who have already been inducted into the Macarthur Business Hall of Fame, and I am looking forward to the moment that their names are revealed at the dinner.”

“In creating the Macarthur Business Hall of Fame, MACROC wanted to publicly acknowledge the significant contribution that individuals make to the success of the region. These individuals recognise that business success is more than just about making a profit; it is about actively supporting the area in which you conduct your business and developing a strong sense of commitment to place and community,” Cr Chanthivong said.

The gala event will be held on the evening of Wednesday 29 September at Wests League Club, Leumeah.

Numbers are limited, so book early. Tickets are $137.50 (inc GST) per person and can be purchased from MACROC on 4645 4937.

Former inductees into the ‘virtual’ Hall of Fame include local businessmen Bruno Lopreiato, Tony Perich and Steve Heraghty.
