Macarthur Businesses Best in State

On the evening of Friday 27 November 154 finalists in the NSW Business Chamber’s Business Awards joined other guests at Darling Harbour for the NSW Gala Dinner event where the businesses judged “best in the state” were announced.

NSW Business Chamber’s Business Awards provide an opportunity to highlight the outstanding contribution made by business to the economy and to employment in NSW. And two Macarthur businesses were winners!

All About Pipes, a family owned business with over 35 years’ experience in the underground services industry, won Excellence in Business. The company specialises in cleaning, robotic camera videoing and repairing of stormwater and sewer lines. Over the past two years they have grown from three to 21 employees and increased turnover from $250,000 to over $3 million per annum.

MediaHub Australia, a company that broadcasts over 170 channels across Australia, Asia and the Pacific, was named Employer of Choice. They have a focus on workplace wellness and as a result of innovative strategies employee absenteeism rates have dropped by nearly one working day per employee and 60% of the staff have been there three years or more.
